We acknowledge that we reside on the unceded ancestral home of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Duwamish, Snohomish, Suquamish, Muckleshoot, Snoqualmie, Puyallup, and other Indigenous peoples. We thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
We make this acknowledgment and follow it with actions by helping to steward our green space and partnering with local tribes to educate the community about this land and its ecosystems and cultures.

New Start Community Garden (Shark Garden)

No smoking, littering, camping, BBQing, or amplified music in the garden.
No public picking of flowers, fruit, berries, or produce.
No pets allowed besides service animals.
No unfriendly behavior of any kind is allowed.

Open from dawn to dusk.

Free parking is available in the school lot along SW 120th Street.

A porta potty is available only during classes and events as well as for our regular volunteers and p-patch renters.

Some parts of the garden are wheelchair accessible, but not all areas since our paths and trails are covered with wood chips that can be uneven and squishy. Several areas can be viewed from our gravel access road.

We have very little shade in the garden and there is not a covered area if it rains. We highly encourage individuals to wear a hat or bring an umbrella. Sunscreen is highly recommended as well!
