Fall Open House & Bake Sale

The Shark Garden Fall Open House & Bake Sale is our main fundraiser for the fall season. We harvest berries and herbs from the garden and local chefs and volunteers make jams, jellies, herb salts, and baked goods for our sale. We also sometimes have plants, garden themed jewelry, or garden art for sale too! We welcome all kinds of donated items! During the event, our nonprofit partners and sponsors are invited to set up booths to share more information about their programs with the community and we have food and music throughout.

This year, we are adding a lemonade stand and some family friendly art activities to go along with our sale. A short program will tell visitors about the Shark Garden and how they can support us. A food truck from Now Make Me A Sandwich (voted Burien’s best bite in 2023) will also be on site to sell some of the best sandwiches in Seattle. DJ Chardonnay will be providing music too!

Sponsors and partners will be highlighted in our social media, which now reaches over 10,000 people locally each week. Donors can also receive a tax receipt for their donations of funds or items to sell in the sale. Contact us to arrange a donation for the sale: info@sharkgarden.org

Volunteers who would like to make something for the sale are often provided with ingredients and supplies when possible. We also need volunteers during the sale to help out. You can sign up to volunteer or make something with Taryn via our email: info@sharkgarden.org   We have berries, fruit, and herbs available to work with if you’d like to cook something.
