Free Class: Mexican Salsas 101

Join us for a free cooking demonstration: an introduction to making Mexican salsas. Our instructor, Jacob Sandoval, was raised in a culture steeped in Indigenous Mexican cooking, in the lands of the Diné People (Albuquerque, New Mexico).  He honors these traditions through cooking up recipes made with fresh and locally grown ingredients. Jacob says, “Making salsa is a practice that is very near and dear to me. I am excited to alchemize these Indigenous Ancestral Gifts of Land and People together.”  During this class, Jacob will be showing us how to make three classic Mexican/Indigenous salsas: pico de gallo, salsa verde crudo, and a roasted red salsa.

This class is made possible by King County Local Services.
